Maybe she has some rare quirk he finds attractive. Maybe she's a hella good cook. Maybe she's more affectionate than his past partners. Maybe she's been working on something in her career that he thinks is interesting or is himself passionate about. Maybe he really does find her physically attractive (I would hope so!).
