As for FFX, it's grown on me a lot over time. I didn't consider it for my top 10 but it might make top 25. When I first played it, I felt the pilgrimage was too stale/formulaic (mechanically it's not any different from literally any RPG where you travel from town to town in sequence, but FFX wears that sequence on its sleeve). But in retrospect, that stands out to me less and the big emotional moments stand out more. And like Leonhart said it nails the ending. --- another place and time, without a great divide, and we could be flying deadly high ... Copied to Clipboard! |
