Because they know that Trump will not hurt their comfortable affluent lives. Under Trump, their 401k balance will keep rising. Under Trump, their salary will go up every year. Under Trump, they can live in their affluent gated communities and drink champagne and when anything bad happens in the outside world, they can just blame Trump. Under Bernie, the wealth our economy has created since 1980 is going to have to be shared by all the people, not just 20% of them. The affluent will no longer have the privileged positions they now hold. Now, the actual super rich - I'm sure they'll be fine. They have enough money parked in the Cayman Islands or Switzerland or wherever to perma-vacation forever.
