I don't know how much video we have of outside the store before the beat down so I don't know how valid his claim actually is. I know that's how the story goes but if it's a sword in the middle of the street, hard to tell how you're defending anything. If he chased them it's different than simply defending. One's defending yourself and your property, the other's attempting to restrain or revenge.
