I don't know if it's completely fitting for Golden Sun tbh, I mean there is a Mercury Adept (water magic user in GS) that turns out to be a villain with Alex. Also you have all elements represented in your playable cast of characters in all 3 games.

I'll give you that the main antagonists you generally deal with in all games are Mars adepts. Even then though you find out that they weren't really evil but just trying to save Prox or the world in general or whatever. Admittedly this whole twist was poorly handled/thought out since they made Saturos and menardi a bit too shitty or sinister but that's a whole other can of worms.
