ummm i hate to tell you this but the "Holdo maneuver" has some precedent in video games too. Starwars Battlefront II (2005) has a space mission where you have to shoot down a rebel cruiser before it can make the jump to hyperspace and "tear through" a star destroyer. I believe the mission is vader's fist strikes back.

It also happens in an episode of Clone Wars
