I have a very easy 1 step test to determine the competence and capacilities of a message board moderator. Situation: You're a moderator on a board and two users decide to get all political! User A says: "Most democratic voters are stupid." User B says: "Most Republican/Trump voters are stupid." The message board has a no flaming/insult policy in place which you must enforce! Which of these decisions do you make? a) Suspend user A since he's the only one who did anything against the rules. b) Suspend user B since he's the only one who did anything against the rules. c) Suspend both users since they obviously both insulted other users. d) Both of them, as well as Griffith, did nothing wrong. If you choose a), you have what it takes to be a moderator on Gamefaqs or 99% of Reddit boards. If you choose b), you have what it takes to be a moderator on The_Donald. If you choose c), you're actually a good moderator and probably aren't a moderator on any of the previous choices. If you choose d), you're probably a moderator on 4-Chan. --- DRUUUMMMPPPFFF!!! ...
