You can split hairs all you want but this is a textbook straw purchase. The ATF wouldnt care about any of the semantics you just mentioned. And it also depends on the law. For example, in Texas, a felon can legally have a gun in the house for home protection. But cant ever leave the house with it. So, if Arizona has similar laws, then it would still be fine.
