I can't go into this and not compare it to Sekiro or Nioh 2 since those games just came out and share the same themes more or less.

I had to look this up because I've barely been able to remember this game exists, but while Sekiro and Nioh are both firmly set in the Sengoku era (1467 to 1615, with both games taking places in the closing years) this is actually set during the Mongol Invasions in the late 1200s, which isn't really an era explored by any major games!

But I mean yeah they all have samurai
