Topic | So what's the deal with vaccines? *Seinfeld ascii* |
Dustin_The_Wind 05/13/20 11:49:10 AM #14: | It actually sounds like a vaccine is very possible this time around. I know recent history hasn't been kind to us finding vaccines for these outbreaks, but this one actually has a lot of people optimistic. Not only that, we could get one in record time which is mind blowing. We could have one so fast that honestly, it may make me look into some conspiracy theories, that's how soon we could expect one. The wet dream scenario was 18 months for a vaccine, but it genuinely sounds like one could be available next Spring. Some even say by the end of the year, but that may be asking WAY too much. But if we get one in around a year, it would make me start asking questions, and I'm not usually that kind of person. It may end up being like the flu vaccine where it doesn't eradicate it, but I don't think some people don't really understand what not having a true vaccine really means. Even if we can't kill it for good, being able to control it a little like the flu is a world of difference, especially once we have anti-viral treatments. --- All we are is Dustin The Wind https://imgur.com/wPAK66m ...
