For me personally, yes. But that's just an opinion, no more no less. Just like everything else you'll read here. It's the only game I've ever played as an adult that felt absolutely magical and captivated me completely once I got into it. I already feel nostalgic towards it, and nostalgia is literally something I only feel towards the SNES and N64 games I grew up with. All that while I actually prefer Mario as a series, due to their replay value and how it's just action without some silly stories and without constant cut-scenes. Loved Odyssey, but BotW was just from another level to me.

In any case, the reason it's winning, is simply because of the strength of the franchise and its reputation. I'm actually surprised, I thought Witcher would rake in the votes thanks to the tv show.
