If you are intent on fighting this guy don't hit him the face. Not first anyways. A stiff shot to the solar plexus will accomplish just as much without you fucking up your hand if you land it wrong. Also, unless you are trained, don't try any cute mma shit. It's a good way to kneed in the balls or the gut, both of which will likely end this in a way you won't like.
If he throws a punch redirect and move to the outside at 45 degree angle kick him in the back of his leading knee while hitting him in the ribs. Then you can start hitting him in the face if you want. Also, be prepared for a situation where if you set this up in advance, he'll have friends that will try and jump you if you get the upper hand which is another reason not to try and grapple. If your tied up with the guy and his buddies start beating you, it's all over.

In all honesty though, as much as the guy probably does deserve an ass kicking is it really worth the hassle or risk of bodily harm when you could just ignore the dude?
