| Coastal_elite 04/23/20 10:47:22 AM #1: | I knew this guy from high school. He wasn't really a friend, but we knew each other and were friendly to each other. After I went to college I left my hometown and I only come back sometimes, not very frequently to visit relatives or whatever. I went to my hometown last weekend to drop some face masks for a relative and I decided to stop by a gas station. I went to the cabin thingy where you tell the gas guy "$70 for pump 2" or the like. You know, the cabin thingy where you pay for the gas and maybe buy chewing gum from the guy or what not. This high school guy was there! He works at the gas station now. His parents had an ok house, and last I heard of him he got accepted into state college. There is nothing wrong with pumping gas, but he is in his late 20s now (just like me) and he had aspirations and even went to college, I feel bad for him. I sort of flinched when I saw him there, and he just told me "hey, coastal", so it was him. We chatted for a bit, and then I left. I wanted to, I don't know, help him.
