Melatonin is only effective for short term, like if you switch time zones. Otherwise normal, continual use, you will find that you will be waking up 3-4 times a night, which means you will be getting worse sleep than not taking melatonin.

Turns out my circadian is flipped from a normal person, I can sleep soundly during the day, but living like a normal human, I am a lifelong insomniac who gets sleep paralysis.

Nothing works. Every single sleep aid I've tried made me into a zombie during daytime hours.

The only thing that works effectively is alcohol but that will kill my liver in the long run.
