I have to ask - is there science that favors fasted cardio over normal cardio in terms of fat loss? Like, is it definitely proven to be more effective?

I notice whenever I do fasted cardio, Im drained so much faster. Doing normal cardio midday or in the evening, I have so much more energy and stamina. I dont wanna be killing myself if there really isnt any difference.
