Historically speaking, calling it coronavirus might ultimately befuddle the true origin of the virus. So the term Chinese Virus has a purpose of making the history, at the very least, not forget and make it easier for future generations to understand. However, it's not the most popular name by any stretch. History will still always know it as Coronavirus (COVID-19).
