For me, I don't ask, have never asked, and never will ask. I really don't care. Of course someone is going to bring up the data regarding the correlation of marriage/divorce rates and the number of sexual partners a woman has had. Basically with the argument being "the more men she's slept with, the higher the likelihood of divorce. I'm not even going to attempt to dispute the research, I'll just assume it's true. That being said however, there are tons of other ways to vet a woman as marriage material without knowing her partner count. Additionally, almost every time I ever see a girl's partner count brought up by dudes, it's used as simply a shaming tactic or the guy's insecurity within himself starts showing. The divorce statistics usually only get brought up later as some sort of means of justification for knowing when in reality, it wasn't their initial reason for asking in the first place. --- ...
