| VipaGTS 04/13/20 3:52:14 PM #19: | Whenever the topic of raising wages comes up the typical response is "WHAT YOU WANT 15 for FLIPPING BURGERS!?"....Its not only fast food that makes minimum wage, but regardless, this pandemic has shown they're value to us is more than just a "burger flipper"...Even if she only worked 3 hours that week, a $20 check and a lack of care from management with regard to her safety isn't ok no matter how you try to frame it. This isn't an "appeal to emotion", its reality. The people working these jobs have ALWAYS deserved better conditions and more pay, but for decades people fought to prevent that...now we're seeing the reality of it and its too late to make those changes now.
