| LinkMarioSamus 04/10/20 8:16:35 AM #87: | Picked against Journey without a second thought based on its horrible past poll results without realizing how weak Fate would be. Other than that most mistakes I've made with my bracket so far are things a lot of this board got wrong, e.g. Undertale and Donkey Kong losing. The really dumb thing is that my gut pick was Devil May Cry over Donkey Kong because direct extrapolation from 2018 has Dante narrowly edging out Donkey Kong, but then I figured Devil May Cry has a history of choking while I didn't want to underestimate DK for the fourth contest in a row (had him losing R1 in 2013, had DKC2 losing in R2 in 2015, had DK losing in R2 in 2018). 43% on Ganondorf when Nintendo's and the Zelda series' stock is at one of the highest points in a while really isn't bad. Most of Dante's "surprise" losses are more the winner just being strong rather than Dante being weak. Maybe we like to laugh at him because lol Capcom? --- "Nothing I could do!" -Darksydephil ...
