The one upside to this s*** (and I know it isn't an upside really) is that any future attempt to sell, cut,or f*** the NHS won't stand.

The NHS as a brand won't change for the reasons you suggested but we're going to see discussions around funding.

I imagine there will be a big point about how much money we've spent when this is said and done. I don't know what will happen but during the daily briefings they've been shilling for Private Hospitals and Pharmaceutical companies a few times and the NHS has effectively paid to use the majority of Private Hospitals to help with Covid-19.

NOTE: This already happens on a smaller scale. It's not unusual to be referred to a private hospital from the NHS so there exists a transfer of money from the NHS to the Private system already. Expect to see more contracts between the NHS and Private Sector after this. I can just see that link growing after this. The question is how are they going to fund this? Probably more taxes. I can't see them bringing in insurance. It's too much of a dirty word but as long as the money makes its way to the private sector does it matter how? If they raise taxes we still end up paying for it and they still make their money.
