| Topic | Was I racially profiled? Or am I overreacting |
| im not 13 04/06/20 12:39:59 PM #1: | I'm sitting here kinda pissed but I want to know if it's justified I need to do some stuff for my dad so I put on the first thing I see (some beat up sneakers, joggers and a hoodie and I haven't been to the barbers in weeks so beard pretty unkempt) I get in my car and drive. After I'm done I feel like some ice cream so I go to a store and start looking around. 5 seconds in a lady comes up to me and says if I need help. I find it kinda weird since there are like 4 other people in the store but I brush it off and go nahh I'm fine As I head closer to the exist where the freezers are another lady on the counter says "do you need help with something" I kinda look at her with a blank stare and go well no...I'm just looking. She replies with a smile "I'm just trying to help" but no one is paying attention to the people currently in and have walked into the store the whole time. I just shook my head left the store and drove back home Part of me wanted to act up and tell her to back off but I'm sure that's what she expects so I didn't want to cause a scene. It's not the first time this has happened but I must admit it does suck. Maybe I'm overthinking it idk </rant> --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
