Topic	would you make a lateral career move for a salary increase?

Moving due to my wife's new job and I was a finalist for an Assistant Director position that pays more than my current position as Director (it's a larger company). I did end up getting offered a Director position with comparable pay to my current one, so ultimately I turned down the Assistant Director gig, but it wasn't an easy decision to make.
