The first 20 minutes of the movie is entertaining. It's stupid, but fun. The same holds true of the later scenes in Castle Grayskull. But nearly everything which happens in Suburbia is agonizingly boring.

Between renting entire streets, blowing up cars, renovating a fast food restaurant, and licensing Jimi Hendrix music, I can't imagine that they saved much money anyway. The fights in the high school and music shop would've been more exciting had they taken place in a forest or a desert. The last thing kids want to think about in a superhero movie is school.

If they needed to be in the movie, Courtney Cox and that blond haired dude could've played villagers. Half the people in Eternia live like it's Star Wars and the other half live like it's Robin Hood. The bad guys burning the village would've made a neat visual too.

Frank Langella kills it in that movie though.
