I disagree about the other albums though. The Pink Album has the same general feel of the Diary period & some great songs-- Rodeo Jones is one of their absolute best. How It Feels To Be Something On does have a different sort of atmosphere, but the songs are really strong. The Rising Tide has a few stand outs but is definitely the weakest. However, all of them feature Jeremy Enigk's great voice & William Goldsmith's awesome drumming, both of which are enough for me to listen to pretty much anything. the pink album is definitely the closest to Diary for me.
