Not much has been finalized yet. An aid package intended to aid with testing, paid leave and expanding safety nets passed legislation through the Senate. -NY cases continue to rise at an alarming rate. NY now has over 4k cases. There are now over 10k cases in the entire country. -During a Reddit AMA, Bill Gates brought some hope by stating that countries on lockdown can reopen in 6-10 weeks and bounce back. "The current phase has a lot of the cases in rich countries. With the right actions including the testing and social distancing (which I call 'shut down') within 2-3 months the rich countries should have avoided high levels of infection" -The International Labour Organization stated that the virus could cost up to 25 million jobs if immediate government action is not taken. -The New York Stock Exchange will close their trading floor starting Monday and move to electronic trading only. -Australia and New Zealand are the latest in banning non-citizen entry into their countries. -The US/Canada borders has been shut down for all non-essential travel. -An Amazon worker at the Queens warehouse tested positive for that virus. They temporarily closed it to disinfect and have not revealed when it will reopen. -Walmart has further limited its store hours, now opening at 7 AM and closing at 8:30 PM. They will host a senior hour for those 60 and over every Tuesday an hour before opening.
