It's not wrong to say it originated from China but I don't think any other virus has been labelled by the country of origin, so to do so with this one is just provocative. Many diseases are named after the region they were first found. German Measles, Ebola, Spanish Flu, Valley Fever, West Nile Virus, Zika Virus and Lyme Disease are just a few that I can think of. And while most of those aren't named after a country, they are all named after the region they were originally found. The more common Wuhan Virus, instead of Chinese Virus, should be perfectly acceptable. --- "Genetics is fascinating. For example, if I mated with this chicken, I wonder if any of you would tell." ...
