| EverDownward 03/12/20 7:14:55 PM #19: | i think i actually agree with the sentiment that the outbreak will help biden and hurt trump. it's an edge biden needs, and he needs all the help he can get come this november. like others have mentioned, trump cares about image and because this very real threat is at our very real door step, he's stuck in a sort of weird limbo between doing nothing, acting like it's nothing and coming off macho while fucking over the citizens or actually showing concern, doing something, and seeming "weak" to his base. it's a problem absolutely endemic to trump and the entire republican base. there's such an emphasis on being 'tough,' that the moment you actually show any sort of weakness it's like bleeding while swimming with sharks. he can't look weak, and take action. but he can't be tough, and do nothing. dude's stuck between a rock and a hard place, and it's actually entertaining to watch him squirm. --- take me somewhere nice "Miss, can you tell me your address?
