| TheMikh 03/09/20 11:52:35 AM #8: | trump's attitude towards china did not stem from concern about externalities of globalization that did not directly pertain to economic matters such as trade, jobs, and exchange rates however, i'll go out on a limb and say your heart is in the right place tc - if he'd embraced antiglobalist fervor in its purest form and localism were taken to its logical extreme, there would be far better preventative measures in place but i don't think such is feasible in the short term through political action alone, and trump hasn't exactly done much towards such ends beyond lip service with that said, CE is deep down a neoliberal board; this kind of contrarian thinking - however somewhat flawed in its reasoning - is not socially acceptable --- ...
