Well, in a many states people can be fired due to their sexual orientation (this pretty much exclusively negatively impacts the LGBT community), there's also states trying to actively discriminate against LGBT community when it comes to adoption/fostering of children. So I'd say the right to be treated as equals. These are some basic examples.

Straight people can also be fired for being straight. Sexual orientation is not protected. With adoption are some politicians trying to ban it or is it already banned? Is it illegal in any state for gays to adopt?
