We agreed to a complete withdrawal for nothing more than a pinky promise from them over terrorist attacks against us. Ask yourself why we're even negotiating and signing a treaty with an insurgent group, we've already legitimized them as the government of Afghanistan.

Because we've lost 150 troops to people we trained to fight the Taliban after we've left. Because we killed the man who sent planes into our buildings. Because nobody wants our troops to be there. There's no reason for America to stay. There never has been.

why is it America's business anyways? you think Americans are the good guys going there to defeat the evil terrorists and liberate their country and introduce democracy? if you actually believe that then you couldn't be more brainwashed

America can't liberate a nation. It's not realistic to try and reach across the globe and maintain a hold on another nation. You can take the rock, sure, but you can't hold it indefinitely. If you gamble long enough, the house is going to win.
