Just to give people an idea of what the various words mean:

Today "white" refers to anyone whose ancestry hails predominantly from Europe AND are categorically part of the (pseudo-scientific) "Caucasoid" race. Regardless of their "subrace" or religion.

"Caucasian" is simply a stupid as fuck term for "white." People today try to be politically correct or "factual" when using this term when actually all of this is complete malarkey and is steeped entirely in RACIST pseudo-scientific theories of a bygone era. "Caucasian" refers to the people of the Caucasus mountain region. Racial anthropologists of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century assumed that the so-called "white" race came from this region.

Whitness can be bent anyway one wants if they want to exclude a people they don't want included in the category of elites. In America, being part of the so-called "Anglo-Saxon" race meant you were part of the elite (usually well educated and wealthy) class of Americans. In order to be considered one, you generally had to be Anglo-Saxon (English) or Anglo-Celtic (Scottish, Scots-Irish) or a Germanic Protestant (German, Dutch) from the Continent or from the Scandinavian Isles. All of these in general had a shared culture, ancestry, shared religious tradition, language roots etc.
