That's also how they fucked up the Boy Meets World revival They wrote and marketed the show with the same demographic in mind that the original had. It never really picked up an audience, because for the kids trying to watch it wasn't really unique, and old fans like me had a hard time connecting with it since it was so skewed towards a younger demographic (like moreso than the original was, oddly enough) and they barely had any of the original characters in it.
