I never saw the problem with the gameplay. I liked how it was simpler and straightforward than the others and the item dropping is more realistic than teleporting items, even if a bit clunky. The story is a bit bare and Rebecca/Billy has nothing to do with the actual origins of Umbrella and Marcus other than accidentally stumbling upon them and picking up files (you could say that about all the games but at least the others seemed slightly more involved) but it was still entertaining enough.
