Now dont get me wrong though, Im not defending micro transactions and these terrible AAA practices. Simply stating the reason why they have become prevalent. As for why budgets have skyrocketed, I think its because of the race for graphics and the progression of AAA games to be more like interactive movies. --- From the depths, the thing they called Worm King did rise.
