Live action dubs are all kinds of nasty. Anime and games, sure - not all anime dubs are good, but a decent production is perfectly acceptable. Especially for more action oriented anime series where you want to be looking at all the batshit crazy animation. But live action dubs are spotty at best.

Subtitles are great. They allow for more accurate translations - with a dub you have to match the mouth flaps, and that leads to truncated dialogue to fit the visuals. Subtitles let the translator expand on what's being said and more accurately depict the message and the mood of what's being said.

If you can't watch a movie with subtitles, then that's a you problem, not a problem with the product. If you want dubs, go back to anime and video games.
