Elgato Game Capture HD60 S is my favorite and can be used with USB, or if he's able to put a card into his PC they also make a dedicated card version of it as well, the HD60 PRO. These devices are easy enough to use as a hobbyist or a pro, IMO. I bought an Elgato 4k60 Pro MK2 a few months back so I don't have to lower my shit to 1080 when playing/recording games on my 4K TV and it's great as well. --- Welcome home, shed your skin and expose your bones.
