Some truly amazing shots in the movie. I liked when he was in the ruins of the town at night, after he woke up from being shot. The night scene with the flares being shot off and the fires and shadows dancing along the walls was very cool. Overall it was a pretty immersive experience, especially down in the trenches and crossing over into No Man's Land. I just kept imagining how this was one dude's story over the course of like.. a day or so? Imagine how fucked you would be after everything you saw and experienced.

The ending was pretty "meh" but where do you really go from there? There's not really anything definitive to end it with since it's an ongoing war. I thought it was cool in the sense that he doesn't really talk about himself the whole movie, but then you find out he has a wife and kids to come home to and despite that he still completed the mission.. felt like it added some major weight to his sacrifice.
