It's not surprising at all. There's the normal collectibles hunting and beating the secret bosses. That's enough to deter most people because collectibles are mostly boring and the bosses can be tough. But then there's the grinding you have to do. You have to grind: * For synthesis materials. * To get to level 100 * To get the two droppable weapons for Donald and Goofy * To do the Coliseum Cups, each of which you have to do three times.
You'll likely have to play through the game multiple times because there are trophies for beating it on the hardest difficutly, beating it in under 15 hours, beating it without changing your starting equipment, and beating it without using continues.
And to top it all off, you have to 100% the godawful gummi ship bullshit which will likely necessitate you using the godawful grummi ship builder.
