Israel has been waiting for this, for over 70 years. They shouldn't have to wait another 70.

This plan takes several steps that I've called for, for years. It is common sense and a recognition of reality. And the reality is, the diplomat class approach that has taken place for decades has accomplished nothing. After all, why would it? Why would the PA want a change in the status quo when the status quo is we gave them millions for nothing, they enriched themselves or used the money to reward terrorist families, and then for every time the PA complained, Israel would get lectured? Predictably, this approach has led to nothing but more problems - our taxpayer money sent over year after year, only to get rockets in return.

President Trump understands that deals require leverage. So the approach here is very obvious. If the PA wants a state, start acting like a state and show up to negotiations. Stop funding terrorist militias. Take steps against corruption and hold elections this decade. But if the PA doesn't want to show, then the president will work with the responsible actors who have come to the table and are friendly with us, the Arab states and the democratic state of Israel. If the PA doesn't want to put in any effort, then nothing is exactly what they will get. If they reject any option put in front of them and just want to keep screaming, the world will pass them by.
Why the fuck should America be at the table at all?
