of course I'm racist. that's part of growing up in a racist society. I'm racist in a lot of ways that I don't realize. a major part of personal growth is unlearning, via conscious effort, harmful attitudes that you learned implicitly through your socialization

(also, for what it's worth, I have dated black women before, and I would do so again.)

If so, does racism in dating even matter?

it certainly matters to people of colour who are trying to have a romantic partner
