Dang I don't remember thishouse got his leg fixed, but at the time he was vehemently against it because he thought it was part of who he was and that not having the chronic pain would dull his intellect and mind. then it's shown he's actually just fine without the pain, without the bum leg. he's still every bit as intelligent. there's a case of a paralyzed dude, and everybody and their mother is so sure it's one thing while house believes it's something else (of course, house was right about what it was, too). wilson tells cuddy to not tell house because some stupid arbitrary bullshit, and house, at the end, goes back to pain pills because he ends up being reinforced by those around him (wilson) that he actually isn't as good as he is without that particular crutch. --- take me somewhere nice "Miss, can you tell me your address?
