I actually think this whole thing is a really good strategy on Warren's part. Obviously she isn't going to be the nominee and she knows she has to endorse Biden for the sake of gaining favor with the party elite (just as she did last time with Clinton over Bernie). This allows her supporters a way to rationalize her not supporting Bernie. "She is progressive, but Bernie is a sexist and called her a liar, so it makes sense she would support Biden, I will stand with her too!"

I know some of you actually think Bernie could be the Democratic nominee, and I feel for you. He is a good dude and it sucks he can't win, but it's not even really the party's fault. Even if he could get all the progressive base on his side, Joe has the black vote locked down, and that's the most important voting demographic in the Democratic primary. And even the super white early states like Iowa and New Hampshire look like they will give Joe wins or near wins. He just can't be stopped and Warren is on a great path to eventually endorse him without major controversy now.
