He's like that because he's an asshole. You clearly have your own prejudices if you immediately jump to the first conclusion. Your sister could easily be dating an Asian guy that's overly opinionated or likes to offer advice when it's not wanted. It's not a race exclusive thing, just like being condescending toward the opposite (or even the same) sex isn't a gender exclusive thing. That being said, I'm dating a Filipina atm and I've never bothered to try explaining anything to her unless she specifically asks me about something. I've met a lot of her family and I listen to them and respect their differences and opinions.
