Topic	Are there any jobs that don't require much work?

I'd imagine with the risk averse culture in many organisations, there are roles which exist purely to be there in the event of <insert unlikely event with serious consequences>. In the past this may have been limited to physical asset security but nowadays could be things like as IT security or 24/7 support even when it's unlikely that anyone would be using the network. My father used to work in this field where him and his colleagues shared a pager/beeper for emergency issues in systems he had installed and every now and then would have to dial in to a remote server at midnight to fix something or reset something.
