I learned from growing up as I did that corporal punishment isnt always the answer but sometimes needed. Ive used it maybe a handful of times on both my boys when they were younger. But my wife and I both learned quick they didnt respond so we stopped using it.

But if I leave my children with adults I trust, my boys live by the rules of that house. And if the adults they whose house they are us corporal punishment when my kids dont follow their rules so be it. They always know up front they obey the rules of the house they are visiting.
