in the span of a few episodes, he goes from "oh, i'm not racist, i'm just using these 7th Kavalry backwoods Jethros for my own agenda", to "oh, i'm not racist, i'm just so sick of how bad us poor oppressed white males have it in today's society and i'm just trying to balance the scales back" an episode or two later, then to "YOU BLACK BITCH!" in the last episode. like, sure, yeah just make us think that you are capable of writing characters with nuance and gray morality and stuff, and then just be like NOPE, HE'S GONNA BEAT YOU OVER THE HEAD WITH HOW RACIST HE IS! everything about the Watchmen show was just so heavy-handed and overt and awkwardly handled.
He is a political, of course he would lie if it was a chance to make Looking Glass help him.
