Religion wasnt usually the sole driving factor in something, but it was an easy justification to rile up the people for a cause Either way it's always struck me as strange that war is what people go for when trying to tie religion to violence. It affects smaller (but still horrible) scale violence a lot more commonly than anything as grand as war. Pogroms, religious morality leading to violent retributive laws, murders, or even just general cruelty and prejudice towards other groups --- I pray god will curse the writer, as the writer has cursed the world with this beautiful, stupendous creation, terrible in its simplicity, irresistible in truth ...
