Yusuke was perfectly fine as just a human, but then the author randomly makes him part demon all this time, as if to say only demons can be the coolest in this story. It's just like how Saiyans became annoying in DBZ. And it wouldn't have even been too bad if Yusuke simply turned into a demon. The issue was just making him a descendant of a demon, more specifically one of the most demons ever, all this time.
