But every other living thing that has had a consciousness, besides myself, has been like an empty shell from my point of view. Sure, I KNOW the rest of you have feelings, thoughts, ambitions and so on. But I can't feel them. I have only felt those things from ONE individual, and that is the individual who was born in the body that is currently typing on this keyboard. Why isn't this body just an empty shell to me also? What is it about a body possessing a consciousness that I and I alone get to experience, but I can only do it once and never again? Like why didn't this happen to me 4,000 years ago? Why didn't it happen to me in the body of a cat? Why was it a human? Why was it THIS human?
