Of course. Was a constant battle for me since Mom hated me spending money on ANY new games so it was pretty rare she'd take me. I often had to ride my bike to the local KMart to get whatever they had in stock but sometimes I'd get a trip to Babbages and Toys R Us and look at the selection (aging myself here).

When the SNES came out, Mom made me sell my NES and all the games to pay for it as a deal...except the store wouldn't take the NES since it did the green-screen thing on startup and I kept a few games like gold LoZ or Mike Tyson's Punch Out since I knew they were rare.
